The Resmed onesleeptest is a home sleep test.^ It consists of a small disposable NightOwl sensor that you tape to your fingertip and a NightOwl companion app that guides you through every step of the test.
onesleeptest continuously records physiological information and motion during sleep or resting, in the home environment, together with software for physiological signal retrieval, analysis and interpretation of the recorded sleep parameters.
onesleeptest includes:
- The NightOwl sensor and finger wraps.
- An activation code to access the NightOwl companion app.
- A sleep questionnaire.
- A detailed sleep report and Resmed Sleep Coach* consult to discuss your results.
How does onesleeptest work, and what do I need to complete the test?
- First, order your onesleeptest online, and have it shipped to your door.
- Download the NightOwl companion app on your smartphone. You’ll need to provide a valid email address too, so that we can send you your results. If you don’t have a smartphone, contact us, and we’ll try work something out.
- When you’re ready for bed, open the app and follow instructions for how to attach the sensor to your finger and record while you sleep.
- After three nights of data is recorded, an Australian sleep physician will look at your results, in conjunction with the results of your completed sleep questionnaire, and email you a personalised sleep report within 3-5 working days.
- Book your included Resmed Sleep Coach* consult to discuss your results and next steps.

Never received call from sleep consultant
"I think the product was very easy to use but I don’t know if it worked well or not as I never received my phone consultation. I made an appointment and never got a call. Since then have sent emails and tried to call to rearrange with no success"
Easy to use
"Nice and small and very easy to use. I'm not an expert but I would question the accuracy as I'm not sure how it measures how you breathe and how you get the episodes through the fingers. Interesting device though."
Should’ve done it years ago
"So glad I took this step Staff are so knowledgeable and helpful"
Poor Quality and Ineffective
"Don't waste your money. My Garmin watch provides better data on my sleep than this. It can only be used once then it's dud, you are paying for a sleep therapist to interpret the results. Nothing wrong with my lungs, but there is something wrong with the amount of Oxygen getting through."
Easy to use
"Simple and easy to use"
Worked good and understood instructions.
"Worked good and understood instructions."
It was great, convenient, however
"It was great, convenient, however I wonder how accurate it is compared to going to the sleep centre."
I know for a fact
"I know for a fact that I have moderate to server sleep apnia, I thought this test would reaffirm my need for a new cpap, instead it ended up costing me 149 for the privilege of being told I don't really have sleep apnia and ended up having to take a proper one night wired and all sleep test only after getting a referral from my Dr... not good value for money, and the results are very misleading....7 years ago, I was shown to have 90 events every hour that is something that doesn't go away. Not a substitute for a proper test, and you should point that out in big bold red letters on your website. Very very very disappointed"
Easy to use. Great information
"Easy to use. Great information that I can now take to my Doctor for review."
This product doesn't measure all
"This product doesn't measure all the parameters. For someone who DOES have breathing problem, this device is not sufficiently accurate. Advise your clients before any purchase. Also, have the dr's signature at the end of the report (at least)."
