Shop EPAP Devices

EPAP (Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure) therapy uses a simple nasal device that creates pressure during exhalation to keep your airway open while you sleep. EPAP devices are compact, battery-free, and don’t require electricity. They fit gently over or in your nostrils, forming a soft seal that directs airflow through the valves. This maintains pressure and keeps your airway open with your own natural breath as you exhale.

FAQ

What is an Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) device?

An EPAP device uses a nasal device to generate pressure while exhaling, keeping your airways open and promoting normal breathing during sleep. It’s a simple, battery-free solution that doesn’t require electricity and seals the nostrils to prevent airway closure.

EPAP vs. CPAP: what are the differences between therapies?

EPAP: A small, lightweight device that fits over or in your nostrils and uses your exhaled breath to create pressure, helping to maintain airway openness.

CPAP: A machine that requires a mask and uses electricity to push air into your airway to keep it open.

EPAP is designed to work with your natural breathing patterns, while CPAP requires external airflow.

Does EPAP work for mouth breathers?

EPAP relies on nasal air pressure to keep the airway open. It is more suitable for nose breathers, as it creates pressure when exhaling through the nostrils. If you typically breathe through your mouth while sleeping, EPAP may not provide optimal results.
